Imbi Palace Group Rebranding Dinner

Tuesday, September 25, 2012 / ,

Got invited to the Imbi Palace Group rebranding dinner once I joined Malaysia's Hottest Blogger. Fyi, Chinese cuisine is my all-time favourite! Many bloggers and media are invited to this grand dinner.

 Executive chef Jason Tong

Menu list of the night prepared by him. Which dishes you like?

First dish of the night, Double Boiled Cordyceps Flower with Top Shell & Fish Maw

I dislike soup but somehow I finished the whole bowl!
And of course, because of its benefits, improves skin complexion and cleanses kidney and nourishes Yin, that's why I finished it so fast lol

Second dish of the night, Crispy Golden Peking Duck

Here comes my favourite dish, duck skin!

To actually have a proper way to eat, take the skin and meat, add some scallion and specially prepared hoisin sauce and wrap it in the home-made thin pancakes called Momo.
If you do it right, when you bite into it, the juices from the meat will trickle between your finger tip.

This is how it looked like.

Third dish of the night, Pan Fried Stuffed Scallops

Scallops which are all the way from Canada stuffed with Banana Prawns from the Gulf of Carpenteria to create two distinct flavors, yum!

Fourth dish of the night, 8 Treasurers Truffles Chicken

Did u noticed the neck is longer than usual chicken? They hung up the chicken to roast to maintain the crispy skin, they called it KooKoo chicken! lol!

Chicken's inside is stuffed with 8 different types of mushrooms that has been infused with truffle sauce.
My favourite dish as well ;)

Fifth dish of the night, BBQ Broiled Spanish Pork Ribs

Spanish Iberian pig is well-known for its nutty flavour and its delicate melt-in-your-mouth marbling. The Iberian pig's diet of acorns gives it a uniquely tender, rich and rosy meat.

Sixth dish is the climax of the night, South African Dried Abalone

18 head abalone and its essense, the texture is chewy and sticky!

They are having the lucky draw session to win the vouchers of abalones and one of em is MHB blogger!

Seventh dish of the night, LanZhou Knife Shaved Ramen

The Ramen is shaved off the a ball of dough, so it looked like non-identical
Credit for this dish as well!

Eight dish of the night, Braised Noodles with Duck Meat

Chef Xiao-Chen is demonstrating the hand-made noodles

Finally! Dessert time!

 Coconut Pudding
Their signature dessert!
I must say that I loved this very much! You have to try it if you happen to have meal at here, or take away will do! ;)

Snowskin Mooncake
Best mooncake that I've ever had.
And I actually went to purchase it few days ago. ;p

Namoo Korean Dessert Cafe n Bistro on the park

Saturday, September 22, 2012 / , , , ,

While waiting for my boyfriend coming to pick me up, I am going to blog about today's lunch. Since publika is so near to my house, and I heard there is a new opening restaurant, Namoo. I somehow like this name, so today paid my first visit.

Namoo in Korean, means 'tree', young Koreans started this first Korean dessert cafe in Malaysia. They wanted their customers to feel comfortable and warm while enjoying their food. In ancient times, Korean desserts only served to the King, now we can have it in Malaysia! ;)

 Outfit of the day
B&W dress from bkk
Louis Vuitton speedy
Ankle strap heels from bkk

Love their new menu design!

While waiting for the food.

Food is served within 10 minutes!

 My bf's selection
Shrimp rice burger
Their rice burger is definitely thumbs up!

My choice
Beef bulgogi rice
Beef and fried garlic are always good combination

And lastly dessert of the day, recommended by their chef, sweet potato cake.

Served with ice cream,
with the rich potato cake,
best! ;)
