See Clearly The Healthy Way

Wednesday, January 29, 2014 / ,

I don’t know about you guys, but I’ve always experienced tired and red eyes when I wear contact lens for too long. What was even more annoying was wearing unsuitable lenses - I have astigmatism but I was wearing contact lenses for short-sightedness. Well this resulted in blurred vision and I would often experience night glares or haloes especially when I was driving at night. Poor vision is not just a physical impediment, but it also affects my emotional and psychological well-being. One of my 2014 New Year resolutions is to not compromise on poor vision that will affect my quality of life.

So, what is Astigmatism exactly? I'm pretty sure a number of you have it and maybe some of you could be wondering what this astigmatism is all about.

Basically, astigmatism is a condition that causes blurry vision, light haloes, or double vision. It happens when the cornea is more oval than round. This means light rays cannot focus properly on your retina, causing blurry vision at all distances.

In my opinion, it’s very important to correct astigmatism by wearing the right contact lens. Some people may think that going for an eye examination is unnecessary. Some even have the misconception that short-sightedness power will increase once you wear astigmatic correction (toric) lens (I was told by the previous eye care professional!) It’s not true! With my recent eye examination, not only did I bust the myth but I realized the importance of choosing the right lens.

Of course the more advanced eye-examination

Check out my new glasses, it is actually eye refraction glasses for eye power reading! XD

When choosing your contact lens, you should check this out.  This is what I wear personally- 1•DAY ACUVUE® MOIST® for ASTIGMATISM which comes with Triple Care properties as it provides some of the most important qualities such as, Moisture, Oxygen and UV protection to keep your eyes healthy and comfortable.

After my eye-examination, I was prescribed with 1•DAY ACUVUE® MOIST® for ASTIGMATISM. After wearing them for a few days, I can notice the difference and benefits of the lens. To be honest, it is really comfortable as I don’t even feel the lens, like I am not wearing anything at all. Not only do I get crisp and clear vision, but also HEALTHY eyes! The contact lenses are more breathable, ensuring your eyes get sufficient oxygen throughout the day.  It’s so important! With ACUVUE® Triple Care benefits, now I don’t experience dry and tired eyes anymore. I can concentrate on my daily tasks easily.

The best part is at the end of a long day, I’m glad to be able to throw my contact lenses away instead of taking time to clean and store them. I just love that feeling to start my day with a new pair of contact lenses! Say no to painful eye infections, caused by the build-up of lens deposits and bacteria contamination inside the lens case, which is commonly found especially when you wear reusable monthly lens.

Now you’ve learnt about the importance of correcting astigmatism and choosing the right toric lens. Say no to astigmatism as it affects your quality of life and let’s beat the blur with ACUVUE! Not only will you enjoy crisp and clear vision, but also HEALTHY eyes!

If you are interested to learn more, you can check out ACUVUE®’s website here. http://www.acuvue.com.my/contact-lenses-products/all-day-comfort-series/acuvue-moist-astig

Skin Care | ENCHANTEUR Paris Body Lotion & Body Serum [Giveway]

/ ,

It ain’t easy to take care of skin, you have to make commitment to yourself and put a lot of effort in it. There’s a quotation for this, 世上没有丑女人,只有懒女人” (there are no ugly but lazy women in this world), so true! I saw some people even at the age of 40 but the skin is better than those at 20. I am proud to announce that I have a healthy skin, the only thing I concern about is the skin tone of my body. People around me knew that I always complain about my body skin tone, darker than my face, even I don’t use foundation, my face’s skin tone is always lighter than my body’s, which makes me feel annoyed, especially taking pictures. My hands always appear to be the darkest and people may think I use lighter tone foundation. SOS!

Lately, I’ve found something that might help my problem! It’s ENCHANTEUR Paris body care series!

Seoul's stay: Tria Hotel, Yeoksam-Dong, Gangnam-Gu

Saturday, January 18, 2014 / , , , , ,

I feel contented for our stay in Seoul, would give an 8 out of 10 if I'd like to rate about it. I always mention on my travel post, always always always DO RESEARCH before your trip! Else you'll not going to enjoy your trip, it's true! I've experienced myself for first few free and easy travels, and I told myself that I am not gonna repeat the same mistake again. So for every trip, I did researches, if there isn't enough time, at least search for a good hotel! For this trip, it was so sudden (surprise trip), so I did a last minute work, my bf always put this on me, he knew I am very choosy lol, strive for perfection in a good way, ahem.

For this Seoul trip, I feel happy that I found this hotel, Tria Hotel which is located around Gangnam, a place where full of tourists and youths. Firstly, I like hotel's location, which is just 5 minutes walking distance from subway station (yeoksam station). Yeoksam station is just next to Gangnam station. I don't simply spend on cab during traveling, if you are same as me, better search for hotel nearby subway station. Secondly, it is a boutique hotel, I love hotel with unique design! Thirdly, the hotel room is very clean and neat. As I am a clean freak, so cleanliness is very important to me. Fourthly, the strategic location where 24 hours shops are nearby such as Korean's BBQ restaurants and mart (GS25). Also, a lot of coffee shops are nearby. When I said nearby, it's sssuuu--pperr near! Will blog about it soon! Lastly, the price range of the hotel is MYR260++ for standard room and MYR340++ for deluxe room from hotels.com, which is not really expensive!

Attended WeChat event for several times, however I was more excited to attend the event this time which held at Blu Med restaurant, Boulevard Mid Valley, as WeChat not only introducing the improved version, WeChat 5.1, also launching their new games to WeChat users! To be honest, I am not a game lover, but the 3 new games are so addictive!

Can I take this huge WeChat pillow home? *puppy eyes*

Sacré-Cœur, Paris

Wednesday, January 15, 2014 / , , ,

My long due Paris post, I am so so forgetful that I keep ignoring my Europe trip post! Most of the memories have already faded overtime. Ahhhhhhh I really feel like punching myself! Fortunately I still got pictures to tell the stories. Thus my Europe trip posts are gonna be word-less, hopefully you don't mind since it's already a year ago. I am planning for my next Europe trip!

So for this post, I am gonna blog about one of the tourist spot I've been to in Paris, Sacré-Cœur, a beautiful Roman Catholic church and minor basilica, which dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Sacré-Cœur also known as the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Paris, a double monument which involves political and cultural. It's located at the summit of butte Montmartre, the highest point of city. So if any of you would like to see the view of Paris, you may want to check out this place.

Let the pictures do the talking.

 Sacré-Cœur, Paris

Be prepared to have a long walk!

We were there quite early, around 8 in the morning.
Seldom people around the church.

 I know right, heels!
Lesson learnt, never wear heels to travel!
It's only for picture purpose!

 Spectacular view!

 I know I am lame

Basically we didn't pay a visit to the church, just took some pictures outside of the church.
Our Paris trip was so tight-scheduled because of luggage-delay-issue and loss of valuables.
Bad experience in Paris!

One thing I dislike about Paris is those black people that trying to make deceit by asking (forcing) tourists to take their bracelets and ask for money.
They were so rude and they even pulled me and all came together, trying to threaten us.
But in the end we didn't give em any penny, now thought back, luckily no bad thing happen.
Anyway, please be aware of these black people, better come in group as they have too many.

Anyway, stay tune for the next post!
:D

Hong Kong Patisserie Hunting: C'est La B | Paul Lafayet | HeSheEat

Saturday, January 11, 2014 / , , , , , ,

Remember the Hong Kong trip I went in October? If you're following my Instagram or Facebook you would know! Technically it was a food hunt trip with my boyfriend. I will never get bored of any country that I've travelled to, especially Hong Kong. It's a beautiful city despite the rapid pace of life and living on the run. I wouldn't mind to stay here hehe.

I did research everytime before the trip, it's essential to list out a TO-DO-LIST! I do this everytime maybe because one of the reasons is I am kind of forgetful, and also I prefer organized timetable. I am gonna share with you guys about 3 nice cafes that I've been to and it's all in my recommendation list! So do check it out if you're travel to Hong Kong! :D

#1 C'est La B (Tai Hang)

The first one would be C'est La B, which has 3 joints in the city, Tai Hang, Pacific Place and Harbour City. The one that I went to is Tai Hang branch. I actually went to the Harbour City branch at first but the service was poor so I decided to call it off. Was attracted  by the unique cake design on their website, Ms B's Cakery. Their cake actually available at Sevva restaurant, cakes are super cute and special! I wish I could try it out but the cake is too big for two. :/ So, C'est La B was my final option as their desserts are made by Ms B's Cakery as well.
