Underground Société | Bandar Sunway

Thursday, February 26, 2015 / , ,

Exploring a good cafe is always in our to-do-list, there are many cafes have yet to be discovered! We had another girls' outing few weeks ago, managed to catch up with all the girls while enjoying great food in a nicely decorated cafe, Underground Société (US) which located at Bandar Sunway. If you've tried Garage 51 and Coffee Société before, both of the cafes are under the same team but using different concepts. Garage 51 serves mainly on brunch menu, Coffee Société emphasizes on coffee, while Underground Société provides more to exquisite meals. I am surprised 3 of the cafes are having different concepts of interior design as well!

I love how they implement wood elements and lighting in US. Its contemporary yet hint of industrial vibes and natural textures. Most importantly, the ambiance of the cafe is very cozy!

Happy Chinese New Year everyone!

Today is the fourth day of Chinese New Year, I heard it's freaking jam along the highway now, guess most of the people are going back to work. Even though there are only two days public holiday for CNY, but for Chinese our CNY stays till 15 days hehe. Discovered a wonderful place last year CNY, decided to share it out because this place is too pretty not to share! FGS Dong Zen Temple represents the hub of a Buddhist centre in the South East Region. There are having lantern and flora festival which will lasts for 23 days from 14th of February to 8th of March 2015, everything is well-decorated with LED light and it turns into a magical wonderland at night. A gentle tips for you guys, remember don't wear heels because this temple is very huge, there are different sections. Best thing about this place is it is free admission and free parking! FGS Dong Zen is located at Jenjarom, Kuala Langat in the state of Selangor Darul Ehsan, from Kuala Lumpur it is approximately takes around 50 minutes driving distance, so it's considered not so far.

It's Always the Year of the Pig @ Morganfield's

Tuesday, February 17, 2015 / ,

When it comes to food, it's always the best to have pork. Not sure if anyone has the same thought as me, I prefer pork over chicken, will definitely order pork if it's available in the menu list HEHE. Though this year is Goat year, but to Morganfield's, it's always the year of the PIG!

Pork-sperity Lou Sang | RM18.80 (2-3 pax) | RM38.80 (4-5 pax)

Who wants Pork Lou Sang? Without Salmon, pork also could be on of the ingredients for Lou Sang! I have to admit their Lou Sang is unique! Cured pork belly slices with fresh mixed garden salad, apples, mandarin oranges, assorted roasted nuts, crispy tortilla corn chips topped with sweet and sour plum source.

Morgan's Flying Pig | RM148.80 (half pig) | RM258.80 (whole pig)

For some people, it may looks scary, but roasted pig is one of the Chinese tradition's dishes. It served with sauteed mushrooms and potatoes, coleslaw and homemade pork gravy. The pig itself is crispy on the outside and tender from the inside, I like their sauteed potatoes too!

Tried out their Valentine's special set too, it is 3-course meal specially customized for Valentine's Day.

Shrimp Cocktail Salad

4 juicy shrimps served with mixed green salad, cherry tomatoes, cucumber and Morgan's homemade cocktail dressing.

Sticky Bones

Signature pork ribs with choices of either Hickory BBQ, Garlicky BBQ, Smoked Peppercorn or Spicy Asian BBQ. I like their homemade fries!

Pork Shoulder Chop

Pork shoulder loin served with red skin mashed potatoes, garden veggies and homemade creamy mustard grain sauce. I like how they paired the pork loin with creamy sauce.

Baobei is here *love*

CNY special set is available from 1st of February to 8th of March 2015.

Medik8 Dark Circles & Retinol Eye TR | Review

Wednesday, February 11, 2015 / ,

Do you agree that eyes are the most important feature of all? When I usually meet someone firstly, eyes would be the first thing I notice and pay attention to. You wouldn't want people to keep looking at you when you have a pair of eyes with wrinkles, terrible dark circles, eye bags, etc, do you? This is why I take care of my eye area the most, my concerns are dark circles and wrinkles. I have a bad sleeping habit since young, hence I always look for a better eye products. One day I came across Medik8 website and found these products specifically for eye concerns.

Aging is terrible, one of the first places where visible signs of ageing begin to emerge is around your eyes. When you have dark circles, eye bags, fine lines or whatever, you would certainly look and feel a lot older than you really are. Ageing products are not targeting on elder lady, but for those who have these concerns lol *hand up*. I am using both eye products from Medik8, Dark Circles and Retinol Eye TR

Makeup Tips | Lashes Extension

Saturday, February 07, 2015 / ,

Ever wonder why women take so long on makeup? To me, I usually take 20 minutes on make-up. Not too long but not too fast, I have to purposely spare 30 minutes earlier before going out, occasionally will late for my meetings. BUT! Now I just need 10 minutes putting on makeup. You know why? Cause I just did my lashes extension! Don't know if you can tell from the picture, but the above picture I was wearing eyebrow and eyeliner makeup only. I guess it's not something new to the public already, as there are so many shops out there are doing the lashes extension business.

However, it's very important to choose a right person to do it, after all it's our own eyes. Lashes are done by using synthetic eyelashes, one by one extensions. So, the process takes around two hours depending on the volume you want. It could lasts for up to one to two months depending on how you take care of it.

My lashes extension was done by Celebrity Wax and Beauty, they are having Chinese New Year Fair at centre atrium of eCurve till 23th of February 2015. For those who applied fake lashes most of the time or those who are lazy to makeup, lashes extension definitely is your must-do!
